  • About 75 people take to St. Clair Street in downtown Toledo Sunday for a yoga class. Cherished Friends of Ahava, Victory Center, and Cancer Connection of North- West Ohio Inc. hosted the class to aid cancer patients — and hopefully set a Guinness World Record. The fund-raiser cost $15, or $30 with a yoga mat and T-shirt. Mike Zerner, who teaches yoga at the Victory Center and Ahava, led participants in the exercises.

Jean Schoen, founder and executive director of Cancer Connection, said plans are under way for a similar event next year.

Cheryl Roman of Lambertville, was among those helping to raise at least $2,000 for local cancer patients and their families.
