Man arraigned on shooting charges involving neighbor

A central Toledo man was arraigned Tuesday morning at Toledo Municipal Court after he was arrested and accused of shooting his neighbor outside an East Toledo night club shortly after midnight, authorities said.

JoJuan Boose, 26, the shooting victim, was in critical condition at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, according to Toledo police. A hospital spokesman said she had no information about a person by that name.

Martin Doyle, 32, of 1636 Macomber St., who was charged with felonious assault, was ordered held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of a $500,000 bond at no percent. His preliminary hearing was scheduled for Sept. 22, according to court records.

The shooting occurred outside Paris Night Club, 1202 Front St. about 12:40 a.m. Tuesday. When police units responding to a call of a person shot arrived minutes later at the scene, the victim had been taken to the hospital, police said.

Authorities released no further details about the shooting as of noon Tuesday.
