Perrysburg Township woman pleads guilty to death of Northwood man

BOWLING GREEN - A Perrysburg Township woman admitted Friday that she shot a Northwood man in the head then set his house on fire.

Sarah Bunch, 21, pleaded guilty in Wood County Common Pleas Court to voluntary manslaughter, arson, and attempted tampering with evidence stemming from the Dec. 8, 2008 shooting of Robert Porter, 60, at his West Andrus Road home.

Heather Baker, an assistant Wood County prosecutor, told the court that prosecutors will recommend that Bunch be sentenced to 12 years in prison.

Judge Alan Mayberry accepted Bunch's plea then scheduled sentencing for Nov. 20. Bunch is being held in the Wood County jail in lieu of $500,000 bond.
