Teen pleads guilty to fatal shooting of Toledoan

A Toledo man pleaded guilty Friday to murder for shooting a South Toledo man outside his home.

Enrique E. Martinez, 18, of 414 Courtland Ave., entered the plea before Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Ruth Ann Franks. He faces 15 years to life in prison when he is sentenced at 1:30 p.m. Monday.

Martinez shot David Taylor, Sr., 50, of 211 South Ave. May 31 after Martinez and four women went to Mr. Taylor's house looking for his son, David, Jr. The elder Mr. Taylor answered the door and stepped outside. He got into an argument with the women and was shot in the back as he tried to go back inside his home.
