Man sought in robbery of Fremont bank branch

FREMONT — Police and the FBI are looking for a man who robbed the Old Fort Bank on State Street about 1:05 p.m. yesterday.

The man lifted his jacket as he walked up to the teller, exposing a black handgun, and handed her a bag. “She put the money in. He walked out cool, calm, and collected,” said Capt. Jim White of the Fremont police. “There were no threats. … He came in and did his business and got out.”

The man may have driven away in a tan or gold car with fancy rims, Captain White said.

The man was described as black, about 5 feet, 5 inches tall, and 110 to 120 pounds. He had a square gold earring in each ear.
