No trash pickup in Toledo on Columbus Day

City of Toledo, Lucas County, state, and federal offices will be closed today in observance of Columbus Day. Auto title offices will be closed.

Northwood and Sylvania city offices also will be closed. Maumee, Ottawa Hills, Perrysburg, Rossford, and Oregon city offices will be open, but the Maumee, Sylvania, and Oregon municipal courts will be closed.

Businesses

Shopping centers and malls will be open regular hours.

Schools

Public and parochial schools and most area colleges and universities will have regular classes. Bowling Green State University students have no classes because of fall break.

Libraries

Most branches of the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library will be open during regular hours. Birmingham, Lagrange, Maumee, Mott, Reynolds Corners, South, Washington, Waterville, and West Toledo: noon to 8:30 p.m. Main, Heatherdowns, Holland, Oregon, Sanger, and Sylvania: noon to 8:30 p.m.

Kent, Locke, Point Place, and Toledo Heights are closed every Monday.

Mail service

There will be no mail delivery and no window services at the Main Post Office or any of the stations or branches.

Bus service

Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority buses will operate on a regular schedule.

Trash Pickup

There will be no trash pickup in Toledo on Columbus Day. Your trash collection day will leap forward to the next business day and stay there until after the next holiday.

Parking

Meter parking in downtown Toledo will be free.
