Witnesses of crash in Perrysburg sought

10/15/2009

Perrysburg police yesterday said they want to speak with witnesses who may have observed a traffic crash over the weekend.

A woman was hurt Saturday when the driver of the car in which she was riding hit a tree along State Rt. 795 in Perrysburg. Donna Snow, 50, of Perrysburg was extricated from the passenger seat of the car and taken by air ambulance to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, the police report said. She was in fair condition yesterday.

Robert Snow, 51, of Perrysburg was driving eastbound on Route 795 between Kirkshire Drive and Hufford Road when he lost control about 7:15 p.m. Saturday. His vehicle crossed the center line, went off the road and into a tree, police said. He was cited for failure to maintain reasonable control.

Perrysburg police said yesterday they believe Mr. Snow's vehicle may have been passing another vehicle before it lost control.

Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is asked to call the department at 419-872-8001 or stop by the station at 330 Walnut St.
