South Toledo woman arrested after stabbing of boyfriend

A woman was arrested and accused of stabbing her boyfriend during an altercation early Tuesday in a South Toledo apartment they share, Toledo police said,

Shekita Anani, 29, who was charged with felonious assault, was booked into the Lucas County jail pending arraignment Wednesday in Toledo Municipal Court, sheriff's deputies said.

Gerry Rounds, 37, the victim, was listed in good condition at the University of Toledo Medical Center as of about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to a hospital spokesman.

Police said the couple was having an argument in the apartment in the 4900 block of Glendale Avenue when she allegedly stabbed him in the back with a kitchen knife.

The incident remained under investigation.
