OAK HARBOR, Ohio - Two teens were injured in a rollover crash Monday night on Oak Harbor Southeast Road just south of this Ottawa County community, authorities said.

Passenger Brenna Weaver, 15, of Port Clinton, was flown to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, where a hospital spokesman said she had no information about a person by that name.

Driver Alisha Laferty, 16, also of Port Clinton, was treated at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton, a hospital spokesman said.

The SUV was eastbound on the road just east of State Rt. 19 about 7:50 p.m. when Miss Laferty failed to round a curve, causing the SUV to run off the south side of the road. She then drove back onto the road, over-corrected, and lost control of the vehicle.

The SUV overturned several times and finally ran off the south side of the road where it came to rest in a ditch.

Miss Laferty was cited for failure to control a motor vehicle. Both she and Miss Weaver were wearing their safety belts.

Oak Harbor is about 25 miles southeast of Toledo.
