A former temporary garbage collector for the city of Toledo pleaded no contest to two drug charges Monday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

Frederick Adams, 34, of 2257 Warren St., faces up to 6 years in prison when sentenced Dec. 9 for one count each of trafficking in marijuana and possession of marijuana.

He initially was charged in two separate cases with two counts of possession of marijuana, three counts of trafficking in marijuana, and one count of possession of crack cocaine. Police said detectives searched Adams' central Toledo home three times within a year. Records indicate that on each occasion, detectives seized bags of marijuana and scales.

Judge Linda Jennings will dismiss the remaining charges at Adams' sentencing per a negotiated plea agreement.
