Toledo ZIP Codes 43613, 43623 to have leaf collection

The city of Toledo is to collect leaves today in ZIP Codes 43613 and 43623.

The citywide pickup program began a week later this year than in previous years because of a late leaf drop, city officials said. It is to conclude in mid-December, weather permitting.

The collection is for loose leaves only. The city will not pick up brush, sticks, or bags of leaves.

Upon the conclusion of the program, remaining leaves can be bagged and set out for refuse collection.

Leaves also can be recycled at Clean Wood Recycling sites at 6505 West Bancroft St. or 5330 Stickney Ave.
