A man arrested Aug. 20 on a downtown rooftop after escaping from a Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio work-release program was sentenced to six months in prison yesterday after entering a plea.

Christopher Crapsey, 42, of 4040 Peak Ave. pleaded no contest in Lucas County Common Pleas Court yesterday to one count of escape. Judge Frederick McDonald immediately imposed the sentence, which was agreed upon as part of the plea negotiation, including giving Crapsey 96 days for time served.

Crapsey was taken into custody after allegedly climbing the roof of a building at 1122 Adams St. A fire department ladder truck was used to reach him.
