Lourdes College will display a panel from the AIDS Memorial Quilt in recognition of World AIDS Day Tuesday and Wednesday.

The panel will be on display from noon to 8 p.m. in Delp Hall. It represents a fraction of the full memorial quilt that is 1,293,300 square feet.

According to the nonprofit NAMES Project Foundation, which oversees the display, the quilt has more than 91,000 names and represents 17.5 percent of those who have died from AIDS in the United States.
