Sandusky County courts clerk changing offices

12/4/2009

FREMONT — Sandusky County Clerk of Courts Warren Brown said he plans to resign effective Jan. 3 though he won't be leaving the county's employ.

County commissioners said Mr. Brown will be filling a newly created position of county administrator — a job that will combine the duties of clerk to the commissioners and human resources and risk management director. Mary Ann Reser, who currently serves as clerk, has announced her resignation, and Tim Grabbenstedder, human resources and risk managment director, resigned to become director of the county's juvenile detention center.

Commissioners must appoint an interim clerk of courts to serve until the Sandusky County Republican Party appoints a replacement.

In November, 2010, county voters will elect a clerk of courts to fill out the remaining two years of Mr. Brown's term.
