Sandusky man's body found after fire destroyed his home
1/1/2010SANDUSKY — The body of a Sandusky man was recovered from his mobile home Friday after fire destroyed it, authorities said.
John O'Reilly, 66, of 10 East Sprucewood Drive, was pronounced dead at his home.
Flames were showing near the rear of his mobile home about 2:20 a.m., battalion fire chief Mike Yost said. The smoke was so dense that fire crews were forced to use an infrared device to find the doorway to enter the home, Chief Yost said.
The Lucas County coroner will perform an autopsy on Mr. O'Reilly. The fire is under investigation, Chief Yost said.
