Lucas County extends tax deadline by a day
1/4/2010Real estate tax bills in Lucas County are due Feb. 1 for the first half 2009 tax collection.
Tax bills must be postmarked by Feb. 1 to avoid penalty and interest. First half taxes are usually due Jan. 31, but that is a Sunday this year so Treasurer Wade Kapszukiewicz moved the date to Feb. 1.
The treasurer's office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
