Bond set for Clyde man in death of 2-month-old

FREMONT — Bond was set at $500,000 yesterday for a Clyde, Ohio, man charged in the death of his 2-month-old son.

K.C. Goble, 22, was indicted by a Sandusky County grand jury this week on two counts of murder — one with the underlying offense of felonious assault and the other with the underlying offense of child endangering. He also was indicted on one count of child endangering, a second-degree felony.

Mr. Goble has been in the Sandusky County jail since Jan. 12, when his girlfriend called 911 to report the couple's infant son, Preston Goble, was not breathing. The baby was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, then flown to Toledo Children's Hospital, where he died Jan. 13.

An autopsy conducted by the Lucas County Coroner's Office determined the child died from blunt head trauma.

At his arraignment yesterday, Mr. Goble entered a not-guilty plea. Sandusky County Common Pleas Judge Barbara Ansted set a Feb. 12 pretrial hearing.
