A Toledo man in custody on several drug and robbery charges was indicted by a Lucas County grand jury Monday for murder with a gun specification.

Kijuan L. Hunley, 29, of 2486 Scottwood Ave. was charged for the Sept. 17 shooting death of Victor Johnson. If convicted, he faces up to life in prison.

Johnson, 34, was found shot to death in a yard at 2413 Hollywood Ave., a few blocks from his Ashland Avenue residence. The slaying was believed to have occurred about 1 a.m., but the body was not found for more than nine hours.

Hunley has been in custody since Sept. 20 on unrelated charges. On Sept. 28, a grand jury indicted him on three counts of aggravated robbery and three counts of robbery. He was charged Nov. 12 with drug trafficking and drug abuse.

Police said Hunley had long been a suspect.
