A sharp-eyed Toledo police detective Friday caught two men taking a large-screen television and other items from a West Toledo house.

Just after noon, Detective Mark Nelson saw two men acting suspicious in the 3600 block of Almeda Drive. The detective "happened just to be patrolling the neighborhood because it's been hit hard by burglaries," Lt. David Schmidt said.

As Detective Nelson watched, a man came out of a house with a large-screen TV. That man and another drove away, and Detective Nelson followed. He stopped the vehicle a few blocks away on Drexel Drive with help from other detectives and uniformed officers. Two televisions, a game system, and jewelry found inside were returned to the homeowner.

Montana Dean, 20, and Henry Williams, 18, were arrested on felony burglary charges. They were in the Lucas County jail last night.
