Armed with a gun, Rebecca Olinger, 31, approached women in three parking lots over two days and demanded their purses.

Yesterday, the Martin, Ohio, woman wiped tears from her eyes as she pleaded no contest to three counts of robbery. She faces up to 24 years in prison when sentenced April 2 by Judge James Jensen.

Assistant County Prosecutor Jeff Lingo said Olinger approached a woman at 7:35 p.m. Nov. 29 in a parking lot at Walgreens, 925 Woodville Rd., threatened her, and robbed her of her purse. The next day, she similarly robbed two women, one at 6:10 p.m. in Lot 42A of the University of Toledo parking lot and another at 9:24 p.m. in a parking lot at the Kroger store at 1920 Woodville Rd. in Oregon, Mr. Lingo said.

She was arrested after an Oregon police officer recognized her from a video taken from an ATM machine where she tried to use a stolen card.
