Toledo police are looking for information through the Crime Stopper program about the whereabouts of a North Toledo man accused of assaulting a police officer and another person.

Wanted is Michael Robinson, 27, of 812 Buckeye St., who was charged with assault, obstructing justice, giving false information to a police officer, resisting arrest, menacing, and assault on a police officer in the Feb. 25 incident.

Police said he assaulted another person shortly before 4 p.m. in the 1900 block of North Erie Street in North Toledo and then led officers on a foot chase that lasted several minutes.

When officers caught up and tackled him in the 1900 block of Chase, he fought with them and a stun gun was used to subdue him.

He was taken to an area hospital, from which he took off before being released.

The suspect also has outstanding warrants for such crimes as burglary, criminal trespassing, and domestic violence, authorities said.

Anyone with information on Mr. Robinson's whereabouts is asked to call the Toledo Crime Stopper program. Callers may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward.
