WOODVILLE - Four teenagers were injured Saturday when their car hit a tree in Sandusky County's Woodville Township, troopers with the Fremont post of the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

The car, driven by Curtis Deckman, 17, of Gibsonburg was northbound on Lime Road about 5 p.m. when at a curve it drove off the left side of the road, returned to the roadway, and went off the left side of the road and into the tree, troopers said. Young Deckman was thrown from the car, as were passengers Ryder Brecht, 16, of Elmore and Stephanie Bauman, 15, of Toledo.

All were in serious condition Saturday night at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center.

Another passenger, Grant Henry, 17, of Elmore was taken to Mercy St. Charles Hospital, where he was being evaluated in the emergency room.

Alcohol was not suspected as a factor, troopers said.

It was not reported which occupants of the vehicle wore seat belts.

No citations had been issued Saturday night.
