9 Sylvania students taken to the hospital after bus is rear-ended

Nine Timberstone Junior High School students were taken to Flower Hospital as a precautionary measure early Tuesday after the school bus they were on was rear-ended by a sport utility vehicle.

The bus was stopped at a red light about 7:50 a.m. on westbound Sylvania Avenue at Sylvan Lakes Boulevard, Sylvania police said, when it was struck in the rear.
