SWANTON — A house fire in Swancreek Township last night caused an estimated $100,000 damage, but no one was injured, fire officials said.

The blaze, in a two-story home in the 6600 block of County Road 2, was seen by a passer-by shortly before 7 p.m., Swanton fire Chief James Guy said. Arriving firefighters found flames shooting out the windows. They were at the scene more than two hours.

Chief Guy said nobody was home at the time. No cause has been determined, and the blaze remains under investigation.
