Bank branch razed in Polish Village

3/18/2010
Demolition began yesterday at Fifth Third Bank's longtime branch in the Polish Village at Lagrange Street and Central Avenue. The building at 3028 Lagrange St., which originally was operated by Fifth Third's predecessor, First National Bank, will be replaced with a 4,300-square-foot office on the same site. Construction will begin in April and is expected to be completed by July 31, a Fifth Third spokesman said. Customers will be served from a modular trailer while construction is going on.
