Train crushes teen's foot in Lenawee County

A teenage boy was hurt Tuesday when his foot was crushed by a freight train in Lenawee County's Madison Township, authorities said.

The name of the 14-year-old boy was not released.

The boy was attempting to board a slow-moving Canadian Pacific train near Stieff Drive when his foot slipped and was caught under the train wheel, Madison Township police said.

He was treated at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center.
