A man in a tan sweatshirt that said “Brooklyn” across the front robbed a Charter One Bank branch Wednesday in West Toledo, authorities said.

The man entered the bank at 4260 Monroe St. about 9:15a.m. and demanded money from a clerk. After the clerk complied, the man fled with cash, running north, according to the FBI.

No weapons were seen.

About 15 minutes later, Toledo police converged on the area, looking for the man. There were reports of a man seen running across I-475 north of the bank.

The man was described as black, in his late 20s to early 30s, of thin build and medium complexion, about 6 feet tall, weighing about 170 pounds, with a full beard and a scar near his right eye.
