Crash snarls traffic in West Toledo

A multiple-injury crash involving a car and a tractor-trailer rig snarled the morning rush-hour traffic Tuesday for more than an hour on eastbound I-475 in West Toledo, authorities said.

The crash occurred about 8:20 a.m. on the expressway at the Secor Avenue entrance ramp. The injuries were not life-threatening, according to the Toledo Fire Department.

Toledo police closed the eastbound passing lane and the ramp until 8:32 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. respectively. The wreckage was removed by the latter time and traffic on the expressway returned to normal soon thereafter, police said.
