4/27/2010

A man in hospital scrubs robbed the Focus Federal Credit Union in South Toledo at gunpoint Monday, police said.

The gunman entered the credit union at 1001 South Reynolds Rd. about 9:30 a.m., fired a shot, jumped the counter, grabbed an undetermined amount of cash, and fled, police said.

The gunman, who was also wearing a black half-mask and a black puffy jacket with a Michigan Wolverines logo, fled in a stolen white Dodge Durango, eastbound on Angola. Police found the vehicle abandoned on Copper Creek Lane, about 4,000 feet east of the credit union.

After the robbery, the lobby was closed until further notice. Transactions were processed at the drive-through window.
