PORT CLINTON — A jury found an Oak Harbor woman guilty Friday afternoon of 42 counts of animal cruelty involving her horses.

After four days of testimony and about three hours of deliberations, the jury of seven women and three men found Robin Vess, 55, guilty on all counts. The involved horses were removed from her Carroll Township farm on Jan. 29.

Defense attorneys have argued that the horses were fed, while prosecutors have said they were not being cared for by Ms. Vess.

She faces a maximum penalty of up to 90 days in jail and a $750 fine for each count.

Her sentencing is scheduled for June 4th in Ottawa County Municipal Court.
