Wisconsin man killed in Wood County crash

A Wisconsin man was killed Monday afternoon on State Rt. 64 at State Rt. 65 in Wood County's Middletown Township, north of Haskins, sheriff's deputies said.

Jacobus Pretorius, 40, who was eastbound on Route 65, had stopped for a stop sign at the intersection with Route 64, then pulled out in front of a 1998 Ford Explorer, investigators said.

Mr. Pretorius was pronounced dead at the scene. His hometown was not available.

The name of the second driver and the extent of injuries were not released.
