Hillsdale County crash into tree kills 2 men

CAMBRIA, Mich. — Two men were killed when their vehicle struck a tree on South Hillsdale Road in Hillsdale County's Cambria Township, authorities said. Pronounced dead at the scene were Daniel Robert Rauth, 23, of Camden, Mich., and Craig Thomas Walston, 22, of Hillsdale.

Their vehicle was northbound on South Hillsdale about 1:40 a.m. Sunday when the driver went off the east side of the road, overcompensated, and went off the west side of the road and struck the tree, Hillsdale County sheriff's deputies said.
