Bowling Green school board, city to swap office buildings

BOWLING GREEN β€” The Bowling Green school board agreed yesterday to sell its vacant junior high school building to the city for $1.

The deal comes with the understanding that the city will sell its current administration building on North Church Street to the school district for its administrative offices for $1 if and when it finds a new home. β€œIt's kind of a swap, if you will, and I think it's a good one,” Superintendent Hugh Caumartin said.

City Hall is handicapped accessible and has sufficient space for the school district's office but is cramped for city offices. The city has been looking for several years for a location to build a new City Hall, and a committee last year identified the junior high site on West Wooster Street.
