BOWLING GREEN — A Toledo man is to be sentenced July 12 for trying to break into two houses in Perrysburg and one in Bowling Green.

Mark A. Weaver, Jr., 21, of 3056 Chase St., entered Alford pleas Monday in Wood County Common Pleas Court to three counts of complicity to attempted burglary. Weaver and Anthony Braswell, 22, of 914 Oakwood Ave., were arrested Dec. 31 in Bowling Green after a resident of the Cogan's Crossing subdivision off Bishop Road saw two men trying to get into her house.

Braswell, who later escaped from police custody and was arrested in a cab as he was trying to leave Bowling Green, pleaded guilty May 3 to three counts of attempted burglary and one count each of burglary and escape. Common Pleas Judge Reeve Kelsey sentenced him to five years in prison.
