Inmates at the Wood County jail in Bowling Green tend a garden that raises produce for the jail kitchen, which also serves the Wood County Educational Service Center and juvenile detention center.

The jail kitchen prepares about 200,000 meals a year.

Wood County's jail garden is one of several similar gardens in Ohio. Sandusky County started a garden last year and added chickens this year.
