Fulton Co. volunteer center moves

WAUSEON - Volunteers for the tornado cleanup in Fulton County are asked to check in at a new location starting Saturday: Swancreek Township Hall, 5565 County Road D. The volunteer reception center at the hall will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The Ohio Department of Transportation will continue to pick up brush and wood debris in Fulton County through Thursday. This debris should not contain household or construction debris.

Brush and wood debris should be placed 10 to 15 feet from the edge of the road, with the largest end near the road, if possible. At intersections, debris should not exceed 3 feet in height.

Additionally, items needed by tornado victims are being collected at Open Door, 104 Monroe St., Delta. Donations will be taken there today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Items needed include dishes, glasses, cups, small appliances, silverware sets, kitchen utensils, pots and pans, and new pillows.

Starting Monday, only pots, pans, small appliances, linens, towels, and new pillows will be accepted. For more information, call Cherrie at 419-822-0199.
