South Toledo woman identified as fatal accident victim

Authorities Tuesday identified a woman who was killed in a rollover crash on I-475 near Corey Road in West Toledo the day before, authorities said.

Sheila Sund, 62, of the 1100 block of Malcolm Road in South Toledo, was pronounced dead at 3:39 p.m. Monday in Toledo Hospital, according to the Lucas County Coroner's Office.

At 2:59 p.m. Monday, Ms. Sund was eastbound at a high rate of speed on I-475 near Corey Road when she lost control of her car, causing it to skid off the right side of the road and onto the grass.

The 2002 Chevy Cavalier barrel-rolled and then tumbled end-over-end, throwing the driver on the ground, Toledo police said. Ms. Sund, the only person in the vehicle, was not wearing a seatbelt, police said.
