The trial date for a man charged in the 2008 murder of a Toledo man whose beaten body was found inside a charred duplex has been reset to July 26.

Willie Washington appeared in Lucas County Common Pleas Court on Monday with attorney David Klucas, who asked that Monday's trial date be postponed. Mr. Klucas said he was awaiting information subpoenaed three weeks ago. Judge Frederick McDonald granted the request.

Washington, 52, is charged with one count of murder. He faces life in prison if convicted.

He is accused of killing Gordon Wright, 24, whose body was found Feb. 13, 2008, in a burned-out residence at 1025 Marmion Ave.
