6/25/2010

Waterville's history will be featured during historic-district walking tours and museum open houses this summer.

Sponsored by the Waterville Historical Society, the tours and open houses will take place Saturday, July 31, and Aug. 28.

Historical society volunteers will provide information at the open houses from 1 to 4 p.m. at the 1838 Robbins House and the 1834 Sargent House, 114 and 118 South River Rd., and at the Wakeman Archival Research Center, upstairs in Wakeman Hall, 401 Farnsworth Rd.

The tour begins at the Robbins House at 2 p.m.; a $1 donation is asked. It is led by a costumed guide and includes an illustrated brochure.
