Curtice man, 13 other Chrysler workers win $25.1M in Powerball

A Curtice, Ohio, man is among the 14 workers at a Chysler paint shop in Detroit to win $25.1 million in the Ohio Lottery's Powerball drawing Wednesday, the lottery announced Monday.

The Curtice resident, William Shanteau, purchased the winning ticket at Shirley's Carryout there, 22571 West Front Street.

He said he had a dream the night before the drawing that the group had won. He said “bells and whistles went off,” much like the alarm clock at woke him from his dream.

The group chose the cash option of about $25.1 million After withholding of federal and state taxes, each winner will collect about $1.2 million.

The carryout will receive a $48,500 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The winning numbers were 11, 30, 45, 47, and 48, with a Powerball of 10. The PowerPlay multiplier was 3.

The other winners, all from Michigan, are:
