Electrical work to shut right lanes on Skyway
6/28/2010The I-280 right lanes will be closed in both directions across the Veterans' Glass City Skyway Monday through Wednesday for electrical work, the Ohio Department of Transportation has announced.
During the work hours of 6:30 a.m. until 7 p.m., crews are to connect the bridge's railings to its electrical grounding system, said Mike Gramza, the department's district construction engineer in Bowling Green.
The work is prior to the installation next month of additional lights in the bridge's median to improve the nighttime illumination of its stays, Mr. Gramza said.
