No-nuggets tantrum comes with jail time

A Toledo woman who admitted she was drunk when she threw a bottle through the drive-through window of a fast-food restaurant after she was told her order couldn't be completed was sentenced Wednesday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court to serve jail time.

Melodi Dushane, 24, of 1332 Felt St. was sentenced to three years probation and 60 days in the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio. Judge Linda Jennings also ordered she pay $1,531.97 in restitution to McDonald's for the broken window, food product ruined by the glass, and loss of business because the restaurant was forced to close temporarily.

Dushane pleaded no contest May 11 to one count of vandalism. Authorities said she became upset that chicken nuggets weren't available Jan. 1 at the McDonald's at 90 Main St. and broke the window with a bottle and her fist.
