Ex-employee convicted of stealing from BGSU

BOWLING GREEN — A former Bowling Green State University employee was convicted yesterday of stealing more than $20,000 from the university by forging overtime slips.

Laurie Maher, 39, of Haskins pleaded no contest to theft, misuse of a credit card, and tampering with evidence stemming from activity that occurred between April, 2004, and 2007.

Wood County Common Pleas Judge Reeve Kelsey scheduled sentencing for Sept. 13.
