Platinum showgirls strip club is raided; 7 arrested, charged

Seven people were arrested and charged after a raid on a West Toledo strip club, police said.

Platinum Showgirls, 5801 Telegraph Rd., was raided about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday by authorities from the Toledo Police vice unit, SWAT team, computer crimes unit, Ohio Department of Public Safety, and Northwest Ohio Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force.

During the raid, police seized prescription pills, marijuana, cash, nine firearms, computers, and DVR devices, police said.

Ruben Rangel, Jr., 23, of Archbold was held in the Lucas County jail yesterday on $11,500 bond. It included $1,500 bond for a felony drug trafficking in marijuana charge resulting from the raid. The remaining $10,000 bond resulted from an outstanding domestic violence warrant.

Six others were charged and released from the jail.

Club owner Younes Dia, 40, of 3515 Hillriver Dr. was charged with misdemeanor possession of drugs and 14 liquor violations.

Tanya Crosby, 29, of an unknown address, was charged with felony aggravated possession of drugs.

Michael Getzinger, 35, of 531 Gramercy Ave. was charged with misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon. He was also charged with felonious assault in 2003 after an incident in which a club patron was punched and kicked, court records show.

Jennifer Gross, 23, of 912 Orchard, and Nichole Zieroff, 20, of 4864 Overland Parkway were both charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Jason Harris, 33, of 5432 South Graham was charged with misdemeanor obstructing official business, police said.
