Home Depot, an Atlanta-based home improvement retailer, is to open a 657,000-square-foot distribution center on Monday. Home Depot has hired about 300 people from northwest Ohio to work at the center. The $39 million center will serve about 125 Home Depot stores in eastern Michigan, northern Ohio, and western Pennsylvania, and Buffalo. It is part of a larger program to overhaul the retailer's supply chain.

The $39 million distribution center is located just west of I-75 and north of State Rt. 613.
