Part of Sylvania Ave. at Secor to close

Construction along Secor Road between Portsmouth and Laskey roads will require closing the west side of the Sylvania Avenue intersection this weekend, the city transportation division said. Beginning at 6 Friday night, Sylvania will be closed to through traffic west of Secor and detoured via Sylvania and Monroe Street.

Sylvania is to reopen by 6 a.m. Monday.
