The YMCA of Greater Toledo's property at Woodsdale Park would come under city ownership, under an ordinance reviewed in Tuesday's council agenda meeting.

Council discussed an ordinance that authorizes the mayor to accept the 4.1-acre parcel after the South Toledo Y building is demolished and the site is graded and seeded.

Clerk of Council Gerald Dendinger said the ordinance likely will be voted on at council's regular meeting Tuesday.

Todd Tibbits, YMCA president and chief executive officer, told council the building and the parking lot should be demolished by the end of the year.
