VAN BUREN, Ohio — A road maintenance worker was injured Friday night on northbound I-75 in Hancock County's Allen Township when a car went out of control and struck him.

Troopers at the Findlay post of the Ohio Highway Patrol said Jesus Galvan, 50, was cleaning the area around newly installed median wires when Sharon Meyer, 48, drove off the left side of the road and hit him.

Mr. Galvan was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital. A condition was not available, but troopers said his injuries appeared not to be life threatening. Mrs. Meyer was not injured, troopers said.

Troopers did not report where Mr. Galvan and Mrs. Meyer live.
