3 counties set drop-offs for hazardous wastes

Residents of Ottawa, Sandusky, and Seneca counties can get rid of paint, batteries, insecticides, and other household hazardous wastes Sept. 11 at three locations.

The collection, sponsored by the Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca Joint Solid Waste District, will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Ottawa County fairgrounds in Oak Harbor, the north parking lot of the Sandusky County fairgrounds in Fremont, and in the rear parking lot of the Seneca County Agriculture Service Center in Tiffin.

Residents with last names beginning with A through M are asked to come between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., and residents with last names beginning with N through Z are asked to arrive between 10:30 a.m. and noon. Residents are asked not to smoke and to stay in their vehicles while their materials are being unloaded.
