Hancock County to honor recent war veterans

FINDLAY — Local veterans of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom will be recognized Sept. 18 at a “yellow ribbon ceremony” sponsored by the Hancock County Red Cross Armed Forces Family Network.

Dubbed the Red Cross B*A*S*H* (Barbecue And Service members Homecoming), the first-time event will be held at 8 p.m. at Bender's Country Hall, 3881 Hancock County Road 140.

Veterans are asked to register with the Red Cross to be recognized at the event, which includes food, live entertainment, and activities.
